Somya Traders

Our shop is right on Jail Road, right across from the SBI Bank. It is a handy landmark because almost everyone in town knows where that bank is. Being on this road means there is always something going on. Sometimes the traffic is so loud we have to shout a little to hear each other, but you get used to it after a week or two. We started Somya Traders a while back with just a few items on the shelves. Now, things are a bit more packed in here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to get around to that. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. Most of our regulars live nearby or work at the bank across the street. We know most of them by name. It is not a very big shop, so we have to be careful about where we stack boxes so nobody trips. Sometimes we have a stray cat that hangs around the back door, and we give it a bit of milk. We just do our work and go home. There is nothing complicated about how we run things. If the door is open, we are here. If it is closed, we have gone for the day. That is just how we like to do it. No big fuss or anything like that. We have an old ceiling fan that clicks on high speed, but it keeps the air moving well enough for us.
