Muzaffarpur is a crowded place, and Motijhill is right in the middle of it all. We are located in Majlish Sahay Lane, which is off Congress Office Gali. Sima Sahay and Kameshwar Sahay have been here for years, and that’s where our office is set up. If you’ve ever tried to drive a car down those lanes, you know it’s a nightmare, so we usually just walk or use bikes. The office is always full of people coming and going, mostly guys from the sites or delivery people trying to figure out where to drop the sand. It’s a typical Muzaffarpur business environment—lots of noise, lots of people, and everyone is always in a hurry. We do a lot of infrastructure work, which means we are often dealing with city permits and local authorities. It’s a lot of paperwork and even more waiting around. We don't have any big corporate slogans or polished marketing materials. We just try to make sure the beams are straight and the roof doesn't leak. Sometimes we sit around in the evening just talking about the old days in Motijhill and how much the city has changed. It is a local operation through and through. We know the shopkeepers nearby and we know how to get things done even when the streets are flooded. It’s just how we live and work in this part of Bihar, and we’re used to it.
