R.P.M. English School

R.P.M. English School is out here in Village Rampur Hari, things are usually slow, but the main road gets quite a bit of traffic. We are located right by the police station in Minapur, Muzaffarpur. People often use us as a landmark when they are giving directions. The school building is simple. We have a few classrooms that look out onto the road. It can get dusty when the trucks go by, but we keep the windows shut when we need to. The kids come from the surrounding villages, some walking and some on bicycles. We try to teach them English because that’s what the parents want these days. It is a struggle sometimes to get everyone to focus, especially when there is something happening outside on the road. We don't have fancy computers or a big library, just the basics. The teachers live nearby and we all know each other. In the rainy season, the road gets a bit muddy and things slow down even more. We’ve been at this for a few years now. The building needs a bit of paint here and there, but it’s sturdy enough. We spend our mornings doing assembly and then get into the lessons. It is a quiet life for the most part, even with the police station right there. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day for the local families and their children.
