Puja Karjee Social Welfare Foundation

We’ve been based out of Muzaffarpur for a bit now, specifically over by Shahid Bhagat Singh Chowk near New Zeromile. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. The Puja Karjee Social Welfare Foundation is just a small group of us trying to do some good where we can in the neighborhood. We are located right at Soni Kumari’s place. It isn’t some big fancy office building with a lobby or anything like that. Just a regular spot where we sit down and figure out what needs doing today. Bihar is home for us, so we stay focused on what’s happening right around here. Sometimes the roads are a mess or the weather doesn't cooperate, but we just keep at it anyway. People stop by sometimes to ask what we are up to. We don't have a big staff or a bunch of suits running things. It’s mostly just us handling the daily stuff and seeing who needs a hand in the community. We've lived in this part of Muzaffarpur for a long time, so we know the people and the streets pretty well. It feels right to be working from a local address rather than some distant city. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay helpful. There is always plenty to do, so we stay busy. It’s honest work and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We’re just here in the middle of it all.
