Premier Academy

You can find Premier Academy over in Ramchandra Basauli, right on Kerma Road. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but it’s where we are set up. The building isn't anything to look at from the outside, just a plain structure among the others. We have a few rooms dedicated to the classes. The furniture is mostly simple wooden chairs and tables that have seen better days. We don't have air conditioning, so we rely on the breeze coming through the windows and the ceiling fans. Kerma Road can be busy with tractors and local traffic, so it’s never truly quiet here. We usually start our sessions in the morning and go until late afternoon. The floors are concrete and we try to sweep them every evening, but the dust from the road always finds its way back in. There’s a small shop nearby where we get our chalk and paper supplies. Most of the people who come here are from the surrounding villages and nearby parts of Ramchandra Basauli. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the teaching. The desks are often pushed together to make space for more people. It’s a practical place for learning. We don't go in for big displays. People know where we are because of word of mouth around Kerma Road. It’s just how we operate.
