We’re in the food business, so our days are filled with thinking about different products and how to get them where they need to go. The office is part of a house, which makes it feel very personal and down-to-earth for all of us. We aren't some massive factory with assembly lines and thousands of workers. It’s a more hands-on approach here in our village. We spend a lot of time talking to local suppliers and checking on things ourselves. The atmosphere is usually busy because the food business never really stops for long. There’s always something to check or a delivery to coordinate with someone. We use a lot of handwritten notes and simple spreadsheets to keep track of things. It’s not a high-tech environment, just regular people who care about what they are doing. Being in Shambhunathpur Dholi means we are close to the farms and the people who actually grow the ingredients. We like being part of the local Muzaffarpur landscape. Sometimes the office smells like whatever we are working on that day, which isn't a bad thing. We don't wear suits; we wear what’s comfortable for a long day of work. If you come by, you’ll probably find Arvind or one of us looking over the books or talking on the phone with a vendor. It’s a small, family-style business.
