Pandey Traders

Pandey Traders is situated in Village Jafarpur, which falls under the Paroo Police Station in the Muzaffarpur district. We have our small setup here near the post office. Trading in a village like this means we are tied to the seasons and whatever the local farmers are producing. We deal in various goods that come through this part of Muzaffarpur. The building we use is older and has seen many monsoons. When the rain gets heavy, we have to move everything away from the walls to keep it dry. It’s a lot of physical work, loading and unloading stuff from the back of trucks or tractors. We don't have computers doing all the work for us. Instead, we use our hands and a bit of common sense to get things sorted. The police station is close by, so it’s a relatively safe and quiet spot, aside from the sound of the birds and the occasional tractor engine. We know almost everyone in Jafarpur and they know where to find us if they need to trade something or get information. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just wake up, open the doors, and see what the day brings. Sometimes business is good, and sometimes it’s slow, but that is the nature of trading in a place like this. We just keep going and do our daily work as honestly as possible.
