Mangalkamini

Mangalkamini is based out of Mushahari. It’s a small place, and most of the people who work here grew up not too far from the office. We don’t have a big fancy building or anything like that. It’s just a simple room where we gather every day to handle the business at hand. The pace of life in Mushahari is a bit slower than in the big cities, and we like it that way. We don't feel the need to rush everything. Most of our work involves talking to people from the surrounding villages and helping out with whatever they need from us. We’ve got a few chairs for visitors and a table that’s seen better days, but it serves its purpose. On hot afternoons, we usually leave the door open to catch a breeze, even if it brings in a bit of dust from the road. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to provide something useful for the community we live in. It feels good to know the names of the people who walk through our door. We don't have any complicated rules or corporate policies. We just treat people fairly and do the work as it comes. It’s a modest way to earn a living, and there’s a certain peace in knowing exactly what your day is going to look like when you wake up in the morning. We just take it one day at a time here.
