Maa Jagdamba Kirana

Maa Jagdamba Kirana is a small village shop in Mishraulia. We are part of the Aurai Block in the Muzaffarpur District, right on Keotsa Road. I set up this store to help the people in my village get their daily groceries without having to travel all the way to the bigger towns. We keep things simple here. I sell rice, pulses, spices, and other small household necessities. The shop is part of my house, so you might hear my family in the background or see my dog sleeping near the door. It is a very quiet area most of the time, except when the school kids come by for sweets in the afternoon. I don't have any big signs or fancy lights. People just know where I am. I try to keep the prices as low as I can because I know how hard everyone works around here. Sometimes I trade goods for other things if someone is short on cash, as that is how village life works sometimes. The shelves are made of simple wood and I painted them myself a few years back. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but I sweep every morning before opening the shutters. This store is my main work and I take pride in making sure the containers are always full. It is not a big business, just a way to serve the neighbors and make a living in Mishraulia. It is a simple life for us.
