Love Paan Bhandar

Love Paan Bhandar sits on the Kasba, Bihar Khataghat Road. We are right near the Muzaffarpur Hotel, which is a good landmark if you are looking for us. We spend our days preparing paan and chatting with the people who stop their cars or bikes. It is a small shop, more like a stall really, but it keeps us very busy. The road is always loud with horns and people shouting. Being near the hotel means we get a lot of travelers who are just passing through and want something refreshing. We don't have a website or a fancy sign. We just have our ingredients laid out and we work with our hands. It’s a simple business, but you have to be fast because people are usually in a hurry. Sometimes we run out of certain leaves or spices and have to rush to get more. The dust from the Khataghat Road is a constant thing we have to deal with, so we are always cleaning the counters. We’ve seen the area change a bit over the years, but our little spot stays mostly the same. We enjoy the talk and the stories people tell while they wait. It’s not a big corporate job, but it’s our life. We are just here by the road, making paan for whoever stops by on their way somewhere else. It is tiring being on your feet all day, but we like the work.
