Kankar Foundation

We are located in Muzaffarpur, specifically in the Musahri block at Tola, Ward No. 8. The foundation runs out of Sagir Ahmad's place in the Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation area. It’s a typical neighborhood in this part of Bihar where the streets are always full of life. You’ll see rickshaws passing by and neighbors chatting over their fences. Our office is just a room in the house where we keep our files and meet with people. It’s not very big but it serves our purpose. We spend a lot of time walking around the ward and talking to the families who live here. Sagir Ahmad is a well-known person in this locality so people know where to go if they need to find the foundation. We don't have a website or anything fancy, we just do things the old-fashioned way by meeting people face to face. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to work by candlelight or move outside where there is a bit of a breeze. It’s just how life is here. We aren't trying to be some big international organization. We are just a local group trying to help out in our own small way. Every day is different, and we just take things as they come. It's a humble setup with a lot of heart behind it. We usually keep some cold water for anyone who walks in from the heat.
