Bhandari Kirana

Bhandari Kirana is a small shop in Ward No. 10 of Berai Village, which is part of the Bochahan Tehsil in Muzaffarpur. We’ve been here in this village for a long time. It’s a basic grocery store where we sell things like rice, lentils, spices, and other daily essentials. The shop is part of our home, so we are almost always around if someone needs something. The shelves are wooden and a bit worn out from years of use. In Muzaffarpur, the weather can be quite unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time making sure the goods stay dry and fresh. We know everyone in Berai, and most people just walk over from their houses to pick up what they need for their evening meal. It’s not a big business with many employees, just a few of us making sure the jars are filled and the floor is swept. We get our supplies from the larger markets in the city and bring them back here. Sometimes the kids from the village come in for a small piece of candy or a pencil for school. It’s a humble place, and we don't try to make it anything more than a reliable spot for the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and keep the shop running as best as we can. Every night we lock up and get ready to do it again the next day.
