ATOFA INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED is a small operation located in the village of Sonbarsa. We are set up care of Panama Devi in the Shahpanch-Sonwarsa area. This is part of the Kurhani block in Muzaffarpur, with the pincode 843119. We don’t have a giant industrial park or anything like that. It’s more of a local business run out of a familiar spot in the village. We focus on industrial work that fits the needs of our community. Being out in Kurhani means we are away from the main city noise, which is nice. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves. It takes a lot of effort to keep an industry going in a rural area. Sometimes the electricity is a bit spotty, so we have to plan our work around that. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate policies. We just show up every morning and do what needs to be done. Most of the people who work here are from around the village. We know each other's families. It makes the work feel more personal. We don’t do a lot of talking; we just focus on the tasks at hand. If someone needs to find us, they just come down to the Shahpanch-Sonwarsa area and look for Panama Devi’s place. We’ve been here for a while and we plan to stay and keep working.
