We are located in the New Market area of Bochaha, right on Keotsa Road. If you are coming from the main part of town, you just look for the State Bank of India because we are quite close to that. It’s a lively spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is out doing their shopping. We keep all the basic kirana items that any kitchen needs. Rice, dal, spices, and oil are the main things people ask for. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things high up to make everything fit. Sometimes it's a bit of a struggle to reach the top shelf, but we manage. The floor is concrete and can get a bit cold in the winter. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Most of our customers are the same people who have been living in Bochaha for years. They come in for their weekly supplies and usually stay for a few minutes to chat about the weather or local news. During the festive season, it gets really crowded and we barely have room to move behind the counter. We just write down orders in a simple ledger and keep things moving. It’s a lot of standing all day, and my back feels it by the time we close. But it’s good work, and it keeps us busy. We like being near the bank because it feels like the heart of the market area.
