You can find Wood House right near Vahalna Steel in the village of Vahalna. It’s an area known for industry, but we focus on something a bit more traditional. Our workshop is usually covered in a thin layer of sawdust, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. We spend our hours cutting, sanding, and putting together furniture. It’s mostly just us and the wood. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or bright lights. Most people just walk into the workshop and see what we’re currently working on. It’s honest, manual labor that can be pretty tiring by the end of the day. The village of Vahalna is a quiet enough place to work, even with the steel mill nearby. We make things like sturdy tables and chairs that are meant to be used every day. If a customer wants something specific, we sit down with a pencil and paper and draw it out right there. We don't use computer programs for our designs; it’s all done by hand. Sometimes a piece takes longer than we thought because the wood isn't behaving, but we don't like to rush things. We’ve been here for a long time, and the locals know they can find us here from morning until the sun goes down. It’s just what we do, and we’re happy with the work.
