You can find Shokeen Cement Agency over in Kukra Village. We are located near the government school, right by the Kukra Post Office. This part of the Muzaffarnagar Block is where we grew up, so it made sense to set up the agency here. Dealing with cement and building stuff is heavy work, but we are used to it by now. The yard gets pretty dusty, especially in the summer months when the wind picks up across the district. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading bags from the trucks that come in. It isn't a glamorous job, but people around the village need these materials for their houses and walls. We know most of our neighbors who come in to buy a few bags at a time. The location near the school means there are always kids and parents walking around, so we have to be careful with the trucks moving in and out. It’s a local operation, run by people who actually live in Kukra. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. We just open the gates early and stay until the work is finished. Sometimes the rain slows us down because you can't get cement wet, so we have to move fast to cover everything up. It’s just a regular day-to-day business helping folks build their homes. We keep it simple and stay busy with the work at hand.
