We are up on the first floor at Shop No 8, right by M M Inter College here in N.C.L. It is a busy spot, mostly because of the school nearby, but our office stays pretty quiet once you step inside. We have been in this space for a while now, with our desks pushed against the walls and folders piled up where they fit. My desk is near the window where I can see people coming and going from the college. Usually, we start the morning with some tea and just get right into the paperwork. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we sit and handle the daily tasks that come our way. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but we are used to it by now. People find us easily because of the college landmark, which helps since the hallways can get a bit confusing for new visitors. We don’t really do much fancy stuff here, just the regular work day-in and day-out. There is a small shop downstairs that sells snacks, so that is usually where we head when we need a break. It feels like a normal part of the neighborhood. We know the other shop owners around here pretty well too. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. Most days are just about keeping things moving and staying on top of our lists.
