Vishkrama Furnitures

Vishkrama Furnitures is right on Rurki Road on the NH-58. It’s easy to find because we usually have some half-finished chairs or beds sitting outside to dry in the sun. We are a small team of woodworkers. We spend our days cutting, sanding, and hammering away. It’s a messy place, to be honest. There is sawdust everywhere and the smell of varnish is pretty strong most afternoons. We don't have a big catalog or anything. Most people just come in and tell us what kind of table or cupboard they need for their house. We draw a rough sketch on a piece of wood or paper and go from there. Being on the NH-58 means we get a lot of dust from the road, so we are constantly cleaning things off. It isn't a polished furniture store like you see in the big cities. We just make sturdy things that won't fall apart after a year. We use basic tools and a lot of elbow grease. Sometimes the wood we get has knots or cracks we have to work around, which takes time. We aren't in a huge rush. We just want to make sure the joints are tight and the finish is okay. It’s hard work and our backs usually ache by the end of the day, but it’s what we know how to do.
