Ruchi Kirana Store

You can find us at Plot No. 17-B in the New Mandi area of Patel Nagar. We are right near the other Shree Ruchi Store, which sometimes confuses people, but we are the kirana side of things. It’s a small shop, packed floor to ceiling with jars, bags, and boxes. We try to keep everything in its place, but when customers are coming in and out, it gets messy fast. We have all the basics—dal, rice, oil, and of course, our spices. It’s mostly just family running the counter. We know the regulars by their names and what they usually buy on a Tuesday. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened, but the mandi is still the heart of it. We spend a lot of time weighing out small portions for people. It’s not a fast-paced supermarket, we take our time with each person. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s quiet and just watch the street. The deliveries come in through the back alley, which is always a bit of a squeeze for the trucks. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just a regular store for regular people. We try to keep the prices fair and the quality honest. It’s a lot of hours, but we like being part of the community here in Patel Nagar. If we don’t have something, we usually tell you where to go find it.
