Our place is at House No 51 in the Murari Wala Kauan area of Shamli, over in Muzaffarnagar. It’s tucked away a bit, so you have to look for the landmark of the well to find us. The neighborhood is very traditional and has that small-town Uttar Pradesh feel to it. Our office is basically just a house that serves as our base of operations. It’s not very big, but it’s enough for the team we have. We spend most of our time here just going through papers and taking calls. The street outside can be a bit narrow, so parking is sometimes a bit of a challenge if someone comes to visit. We’ve got some old wooden chairs and a couple of large tables where we spread out everything we are working on. The air in Shamli is different than the big cities, and you can hear the sounds of the local market and the neighbors' animals occasionally. It’s an honest sort of place to work. We don’t have any fancy signs or glass walls. Mostly, we just keep to ourselves and get the job done. Sometimes we sit out on the porch for a few minutes if the weather is decent. It’s a simple life here in House No 51. We’ve been here long enough that everyone on the street knows who we are. It’s just a group of people working together in a regular house, doing what needs to be done.
