G.R. Bathla & Sons

We've been here on Meerut Road for quite a while now, just across from Vikas Bhawan. It's a busy spot and people often stop in when they are heading to the government offices nearby. G.R. Bathla & Sons started out small and we haven't changed the way we do things much over the years. The shelves are usually pretty packed with books and sometimes it’s hard to find a specific one without asking somebody. Most days, we’re just sorting through new shipments or helping students find what they need for their classes. It gets dusty, and the noise from the road never really stops, but that’s just how it is around here. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s more about the stacks of paper and the smell of old and new books mixed together. Usually, someone is sitting at the front desk near the door, probably drinking tea or talking to a regular. People know us by our location mostly. It’s easy to tell someone to look for the building opposite the Bhawan. We keep the doors open even when it’s hot outside. There isn't much to say other than we keep things running day by day. If you walk in, you’ll see we use every inch of space we have for the stock. It’s a family-run place and we just focus on getting the work done without making a big fuss about it.
