Nadukkara Agro Processing Co. Ltd.

Down in Nadukkara, near the Avoly post office, things move at their own pace. We are right in the heart of the greenery here. Most of our day is spent dealing with what comes in from the local farms. You can usually smell the fruit being processed before you even see the building. It’s an agro-processing setup, so there are always crates of pineapples or other produce stacked up near the loading bay. We started this quite a while ago to help the growers around here find a place for their harvests. The building itself is sturdy and functional, built to handle the heavy rain we get in this part of Kerala. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of washing and cutting machines. The staff knows exactly when the peak season is hitting because the yard gets full of tractors. We don’t really go for fancy decorations or big corporate offices. Our focus is on the floor where the real work happens. Sometimes the humidity is a bit much, but we just keep the fans going. It’s a community effort in many ways. Most people working here live just a few kilometers away. It’s honest work, getting food ready for the market. We take care of the details and try to keep things moving so nothing goes to waste. It’s a simple life out here in the village, working with what the land provides.
