Hotel Peak View

Our place, Hotel Peak View, is tucked away on Camel’s Back Road. If you have been to this area, you know it is a bit different from the crowded Mall Road. It is usually a bit quieter, and you get a lot of people walking by just to see the view or take a morning stroll. We have been here for a while, and the weather really dictates how our days go. When the mist rolls in, everything slows down, and we spend more time making tea for the guests. When it is clear, it is a lot busier. We are a small team here. We do all the work ourselves, from carrying bags to checking the linens. We do not have fancy titles or a big management structure. It is just about making sure the rooms are ready and the guests know how to find their way around the hill station. The road outside is narrow, so we are always helping people with their cars or giving directions. Running a hotel on a hill has its challenges, like when the water supply gets tricky or the monkeys get a bit too curious about the balconies. We just take it as it comes. It is a simple life up here on Camel’s Back Road. We are not looking to be the biggest or the flashiest. We just want to keep the place running well and be a familiar face for the people who visit every year.
