Vijay Cements

Vijay Cements is based out in Vellakkalpatti Village. Our address is 446/3, which is in the Puthanampatti area. It is a much quieter place than the big cities, and we like it that way. You see a lot of green around here, though our yard is mostly filled with the grey of the cement. We deal with heavy bags all day long, so it is a lot of physical work. The village is small enough that everyone knows where we are. We don't need a lot of directions to give people. Most days, it’s just us and the drivers who come to pick up the loads. The air is different here, a bit more open, though the dust from the cement is always around. We have a small office where we keep the ledger and handle the money. It’s a very basic room with just the essentials. We don't have air conditioning or anything like that, just a ceiling fan that hums all day. It’s a simple business. We get the stock in and we get it out to the people who need it for their building projects. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the heavy rains make the roads muddy, but we manage. We’ve been in Vellakkalpatti for a while and the people here are good to work with. It's just a regular village business where we keep ourselves busy every day.
