Bismillah Hollow Blocks

Bismillah Hollow Blocks is situated in Appananallur, over in the Kollakkudi area. It’s a local business through and through. We have a yard where we spend most of our time mixing and molding. It’s a lot of manual labor. We don't have any fancy machinery, just the basic stuff to get the job done. The ground is always wet because we have to keep the blocks damp so they cure properly. You’ll usually find a few of us covered in splashes of cement. We don't have a big sign or a corporate logo. People in Kollakkudi just know us as the block place down the road. We get a lot of farmers and local families coming by for small orders. We don't mind if you just want ten blocks or a hundred. We just treat everyone the same. The office is just a small corner with a table and a few chairs for when we need to sit down. We don't use fancy software. We just write down what we sell in a simple notebook. It gets very hot in the summer, and the work is exhausting, but we like being our own bosses. We’ve been at this address for quite a while now. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just make the blocks and hope the rain stays away while they are drying in the yard.
