Our spot is at number 34 in the Sports Goods Complex over in Murthal. It’s a bit of a drive to get here if you’re coming from the city, but it’s where all the action is for this kind of work. The complex itself is quite large and sometimes it’s hard to find our specific unit among all the others that look exactly like it. We have a heavy iron door that stays open during the day unless it’s winter and too cold. Inside, it’s mostly just a large open space with a small office partitioned off in the corner. We have stuff stacked up high, almost to the ceiling, so you have to be careful when walking through the aisles. The lights flicker a bit sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to it. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the system works without having to say much. We usually have a thermos of tea going in the morning to keep us moving. It’s a dusty environment because of all the trucks moving in and out of the complex, so we’re always wiping down the desks. It’s not the most glamorous place to work, but it suits us just fine. We just focus on getting the tasks done and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle of a busy day.
