About Varasha Micro Care Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Murshidabad
Down in the village of Gouripur, you’ll find us. We’re set up at Tapas Kumar Sharma’s house. It’s in the Joykrishnapur post office area, under the Jalangi police station. It’s a very rural part of the world, and that’s exactly where Varasha Micro Care Foundation needs to be. When you’re out here, everything is about who you know and how you treat your neighbors. We don’t have a corporate office with air conditioning. We work from where we live. Most of our days are spent walking or riding around the village, checking in on people. Micro care sounds like a technical term, but for us, it’s just about looking after the small details of life in the village that often get overlooked by the big organizations in the city. The weather really dictates our schedule—if it’s pouring rain, we might be stuck inside for a bit, but there’s always paperwork to catch up on. We’re not trying to change the whole world overnight. We just want to make sure the folks in Gouripur and the surrounding spots have someone to turn to when they need a bit of help with their daily affairs. It’s a humble setup, but it works for us. Tapas’s place is easy to find if you just ask around the village. Everyone knows the way. We’re just local people helping other local people, plain and simple. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t need a big office to be important.
