Our office, Sworn Nidhi Limited, is located at 87/A on Bishnupur Road in Berhampore. If you know the Murshidabad area, you know this road can get quite busy during the day. We are right in the thick of it. The office is a basic space where we keep our documents and meet with people from the town. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our members come in because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. We do a lot of manual record-keeping alongside the computer work. It keeps us busy from morning until evening. The building itself is just a standard Berhampore structure. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a few cupboards for files, and chairs for people to sit while they wait. We try to be quick with the paperwork so nobody has to wait too long. It is a local business run by local people who understand how life works here. We see the same faces every week, which makes the work feel more personal. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to provide a place where the people of Murshidabad can handle their savings without a lot of fuss. It is a plain and simple operation.
