We are based out in Devpur, near Beldanga. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but this is where the work is currently happening. The office is pretty basic, just a place for us to keep the files and meet with the local workers. Being in a village area means things move a bit differently than in the big city offices. We have to deal with the weather and the local roads, which can be a challenge when we are moving heavy equipment around. Most of the people here are locals or stay nearby during the week. We have a small team managing things on the ground. You won’t find any marble floors or air conditioning that works perfectly all the time. It is a practical setup meant for engineering and getting the construction done. We spend a lot of time out on the actual site rather than sitting behind desks. There’s a lot of talking to the neighbors and making sure we aren't causing too much of a stir with the noise. It’s a quiet place until the machines start up in the morning. We just focus on the job at hand and try to stay organized despite the mud and the heat. It’s a decent place to work if you like being where the actual building happens. We try to keep it simple and just get the project through to the finish. That's about it for us.
