School Dress

We run this little place called School Dress out in Villpost- Daulatabad. It's in the Berhampore area of the district. We focus on what the name says, which is basically clothes for school. It's a small operation here. We spend a lot of time sewing and making sure the sizes are okay for the kids. People from around the village come to us when the school year starts. It can get pretty hectic then, but we manage. Most days it’s just quiet work. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It's just a local shop where we know most of our customers by name. The place isn't fancy. We have our machines and the fabric tucked away in the back. We try to keep things organized but it’s a working shop, so there’s always thread and scraps around. We've been in Daulatabad for a long time now. People know us and we know them. It’s a simple life. We don’t have a website or anything big. Just the shop in Berhampore. We open up early and stay until the work is done. It’s just what we do. Nothing more to it really. If you need a uniform, this is where we are, right in the village. We just keep sewing and doing the work as it comes. The seasons change and so does the work, but we stay right here in the village.
