Nimdita Medicine Center

In the village of Sihigram, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We have Nimdita Medicine Center set up here to help out the local people. Our post office is over in Dafahat, so we have to go there quite often to pick up mail or small parcels. The shop is a simple building that sits right on the main path through the village. We open up early because the farmers are out and about at sunrise. Most of our day is spent sitting on the wooden stools, waiting for someone to stop by with a prescription or a question. We keep the most common medicines on the front shelves so they are easy to reach. Sometimes when it rains, the road outside gets quite muddy, and we have to be careful about people tracking dirt into the shop. We don't have a huge selection like the fancy stores in the city, but we try to keep the essentials that people here need most. It’s a quiet life in Sihigram. We talk a lot about the crops and the weather while we are counting out tablets or checking the stock. The shelves are made of local wood and they have a bit of a tilt to them, but they hold the bottles just fine. It's just a small family-run place where we try to stay organized and keep the dust off the medicine boxes as much as we can.
