Mehedi Stores

Mehedi Stores is located in Orahar village. We are right near the Post- Sundarpur and the P.S.- Bhagwangola area. This is a local shop that has been serving the district for quite some time now. We keep it simple here. The shelves are filled with the kind of things people need for their daily lives. We don't have those bright lights or fancy glass displays you see in the city malls. It is just a basic counter and some old wooden shelves. The floor is made of cement and has some cracks here and there. We open the doors early in the morning when the village is just waking up. It gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone is finished with their work. We know most of our customers by their first names. Sometimes people just stop by to chat about the weather or the crops. We don't have a computer to track everything, so we just write things down in a big ledger book. It works fine for us. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours, but we keep a few torches handy. The street outside can get quite muddy during the monsoon, but people still make their way to us. We aren't looking to become some huge company. We just want to keep the shop running like it always has. It is a steady life and we are used to it.
