Lokenath Engineering Works

Lokenath Engineering Works is on Siraj-Ud-Daulah Road in the Lalbag area. This part of town has a lot of history and the streets are often quite narrow and crowded. Our shop is one of those places where you’ll find tools scattered around and the floor covered in metal shavings. We’ve been operating out of Lalbag for a good number of years. It’s a busy place with a lot of people walking by and cycle rickshaws navigating the traffic. The work we do is mostly mechanical and engineering repairs. It’s the kind of place where things get fixed rather than replaced. We don’t have a fancy office or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with grease on our hands working on some machine part. Siraj-Ud-Daulah Road is a lively spot, and there’s always something happening right outside the door. The light in the shop isn't great, but we know where every tool is kept. We’ve built up a routine over the years that works for us. It’s not about being the biggest shop in the city; it’s just about being here and doing the work that comes our way. Sometimes customers stay for a chat while we work on their order. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and we like the connection it gives us to the local neighborhood and the people who live here.
