Kusumkoli Nidhi Limited is run out of this address, and it’s a fairly straightforward operation. We don’t have a massive office or a team of people in suits. It’s just a few of us working in a regular room with some filing cabinets and a couple of desks. We handle small savings and loans for the people who live in Berhampore. The street outside can get a bit busy with people going about their business, but inside it’s usually quite calm. We spend our days filling out forms and talking to members who stop by. We’ve been here for a while, so most of the neighbors know us by sight. There’s no big mission statement or corporate strategy here.
