Jimmy Medicine

Jimmy Medicine is a small place located in Bhagwangola, which is in the Murshidabad district. Being out here, we serve a lot of the local people from the town and the nearby villages. The shop is right on the main stretch of Bhagwangola. It’s not a very big shop, just enough room for the counters and the wooden shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We keep all kinds of basic medicines and some other health supplies that people might need on a daily basis. It gets busy in the mornings when people are coming in from the countryside. We don't have a lot of staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. The power goes out sometimes, so we have to use a small generator or just work in the dim light for a bit. It’s a very local feel here. We know most of the customers by name, and we usually know what they are looking for before they even ask. We don't do any big promotions or fancy window displays. The medicine is there on the shelf, and we give it to whoever has a prescription or needs something simple for a headache or a cold. It’s a quiet life in Murshidabad for the most part. We open early and close when it gets dark. The shop is our main focus every day. It’s just a simple business helping out the neighborhood with whatever we can provide. We just try to stay stocked up on the basics.
