Janaseba Social Welfare Foundation

We are located in Jalangi, right near the primary school in Sahebrampur. It is easy to find us if you are coming from the main road, just look for Pijush Debnath’s place. Most of us grew up around here and saw how things work in the village. We started doing things for the neighbors because someone had to. It is not a big setup or anything fancy. Sometimes we sit out front and talk to people about what is going on in the area. The school nearby stays busy all day and that keeps the street lively. We help out where we can, whether it is paperwork or just pointing people in the right direction. It gets dusty in the summer and muddy when it rains, but we stay open. We don't have a big staff, just a few local folks who know the families around here. If you need something, you just walk in and ask. There is no formal system where you have to wait in line for hours. We try to keep things moving. Most days involve a lot of tea and talking to the elders. It is just a small group trying to keep the community together without making a big fuss about it. We have been in this spot for a while now and everyone knows where to find the foundation. It is just home to us.
