Hellix Infracon is tucked away in the Diamond Heritage building on Strand Road. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the commercial traffic. We are in Room 513 on the fifth floor. The building is quite old and has a lot of history, and you can feel that when you walk through the corridors. Our office is pretty basic. It has some desks, a few computers, and stacks of files that seem to grow every week. We do infrastructure consulting and contracting work. It involves a lot of sitting around and looking at technical drawings, then jumping on calls to see why a delivery is late. The lift in the building is often slow, so we get to know the other tenants while waiting. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking; just the daily work of keeping projects moving. Sometimes we walk down to the river for a bit of air when things get too quiet in the office. The tea stall downstairs is where we get most of our energy. We don’t have a big team, just a few people who know what they’re doing. It’s a noisy, busy place to work, but it suits us. We don't bother with fancy decorations or corporate talk. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get home before the evening rush hour makes the roads impossible.
