Gurapashla Foundation

Gurapashla Foundation is located over in Josan Mahara, which is part of Pundi in the Nabagram area. If you know Murshidabad, you know it's a bit spread out. We have this small space where we manage everything. It’s not a big corporate office with glass windows. It’s just a room with some desks and chairs where we sit and talk about what needs doing. Some days are busier than others. We get people coming in from the nearby villages asking about things. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who grew up around here. The road to get here can be a bit bumpy depending on the season. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done. We try to stay on top of the paperwork, though it’s hard sometimes when there’s a lot going on outside. The address is easy to find if you’re from around here. We don't do much advertising. People mostly hear about us from their neighbors or friends. It’s a community thing. We’ve lived in Murshidabad all our lives, so we know how things work. We just wanted to have a place where we could focus on some local stuff. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just sit on the porch for a bit. It’s a slow pace, but it suits us fine. We usually finish up before it gets dark.
