Green Heritage Masala

You can find us in the village of Sekhpara, near the high school. Green Heritage Masala started right here in this post-office area under the Raninagar police station. Being near a school means we hear the kids playing and the bell ringing throughout the day. It’s a lively spot. Our work involves a lot of grinding and mixing, so there is usually a very strong smell of cumin and coriander hanging in the air. The building is simple, with a small porch where we sit during breaks. We use local labor because they know the spices best. Most of the time, our clothes end up covered in a fine layer of masala dust by the end of the shift. We don't have a website or a big sales team. Word of mouth is how people find out about us around Raninagar. We spend our time cleaning the raw ingredients and making sure the machines are running smoothly. The road outside is mostly dirt, so it gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up. We focus on the daily tasks like filling the packets and sealing them by hand. It’s not a high-tech operation, but it’s reliable. We take pride in the fact that we do everything right here in the village, keeping things close to home and working with the rhythm of the neighborhood.
