Elahi Nidhi India Limited is based right in Ratan Pur village. We are in the Samsherganj part of Murshidabad, and everyone around here knows the spot. It’s a pretty well-known location because we are right near the post office. We’ve been operating from this building for a while now. The location makes it easy for people to find us when they come to town for their weekly errands. We aren't a huge company with fancy offices in every city across India. We are just here in Murshidabad. The atmosphere in our office is pretty relaxed and informal. We know most of the people who walk through our door by their first names. Usually, it's just a quick "hello" and a question about an account or a deposit. We keep our ledgers clean and our computers running as much as we can. It gets quite hot here in the summer months, so we keep the ceiling fans going all day long. We handle the small savings and the local financial needs of the villagers. No one here wears a tie or talks in that strange business jargon. We just use the language everyone speaks in the market. It's a practical business and we focus on the daily tasks at hand. If a neighbor needs to check their balance, they just come in and ask. We don't have any complicated systems that nobody understands.
