Yayati Foundation

If you head down Munger Road toward Jamal Pur, you will find us at Yayati Foundation. We are located at U-9 in Bari Daulat Pur. It’s a busy area and we have been here for a while now. We didn't start this foundation to become famous or to sit in big leather chairs. We are just a group of locals who thought things could be a bit better for the people living nearby. Bari Daulat Pur has its challenges, like any other place, and we try to tackle them one at a time. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can sit down and figure things out. We don't use big words or try to sound more important than we are. Most of the day is spent handling requests or organizing small projects that help the community. It’s a lot of handshakes and face-to-face talk. We like it that way because you can't really understand what people need through a computer screen. Sometimes we run out of stationery or the power goes out, but we just keep going. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being there. We are just part of the fabric of Jamal Pur. People know where we are if they need us. We don't need a lot of praise, just the satisfaction of knowing we did something useful today. That’s what keeps us coming back to the office every morning.
