Sofiya Tea

Sofiya Tea is located out in Village Rashidpur, which is part of the Sultanganj block. If you know the Akbar Nagar area, you'll know it's a bit of a drive to get out here. We aren't in a big city center or anything like that. It’s mostly just fields and quiet roads around us. We set up shop here because it’s where we live and where our families are. Working in the village means we know almost everyone who walks by the gate. We handle a lot of the local tea needs for the small shops around Sultanganj. It’s a basic operation. We have a couple of rooms where we keep the stock. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside until it comes back on. That’s just life in the village. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the tea is bagged up properly. It gets dusty in the summer and muddy when the rains hit, but the work doesn't stop. People know they can find us here if they need a few sacks for their business. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just do our work, talk to the neighbors, and try to keep things moving. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the year. The village is quiet, but there is always something to do when the tea shipments arrive at the door.
