Q Max Public School

Munger Road can be a bit of a headache with the traffic, but that’s where Q Max Public School is located, right in Haweli Kharagpur. We’ve been operating here for a while, and the building has become a familiar sight for people in Munger. It’s a practical setup. We have classrooms that get plenty of light, which is good because sometimes the electricity isn't as reliable as we’d like. Running a school in Haweli Kharagpur means you have to be ready for anything, whether it’s a sudden rainstorm or a stray cow blocking the entrance. We keep things pretty simple. The teachers show up, the students sit down, and we go through the books. We don't have a lot of extra fluff. Most of our furniture is sturdy and old-fashioned. We spend a lot of time on the basics. During the breaks, the noise from the playground carries right out onto Munger Road. It’s a lot of shouting and running around, which is exactly what you’d expect. The staff room is small and usually smells like tea. We talk about the kids, sure, but we also talk about our own lives and the local news. There is always something needing repair, like a loose floorboard, but that’s life on Munger Road. We don't put on any acts here. It’s a school where the floors get dirty, the chalk gets everywhere, and everyone is just trying to get through the curriculum before the end of the term.
