Puraskaar Foundation

The Puraskaar Foundation operates out of Sheikhpura, specifically in the Dagarpar Barbigha area. We are set up at Suresh Prasad Pd Baranwal’s place. It’s a quiet enough area most days, and being right here in the community makes it easier to stay connected with what folks actually need. We aren’t a huge organization with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us who care about this town. We spent our lives around here, so we know the local problems better than someone from a big city would. Working from a home address like this keeps us grounded. We don’t have fancy board meetings or polished presentations. Usually, we just sit around a table and talk about what the next step should be for the foundation. Sheikhpura is a good place, though it has its challenges like anywhere else in Bihar. We try to be useful where we can without making a big fuss about it. Sometimes people drop by to talk or share some news, and that’s how we like it. It feels more like a neighborly thing than a business. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We’re just local people doing what we think is right for the area we live in. It's simple work but it keeps us on our toes and we plan to stay here for a while. We enjoy being a part of this neighborhood.
