Poddar Mineral

Poddar Mineral is located in Manroja Mohalla in Bhagalpur. We are very close to the Kotwali Thana, so it is easy to find us. The N.H.-31 highway is right nearby and the sound of trucks is something we hear all day and night. We deal with different kinds of minerals and the yard is always full of piles of stones and dirt. It is a heavy and dusty job. We have been in this mohalla for a long time and the Poddar family is well known in this part of town. The office is just a small wooden cabin with a tin roof. It gets incredibly hot in the summer and we have to use a lot of water to keep the dust down. Many truck drivers stop by here on their way across the state. We know many of them by name and we often share a bit of news while they are waiting. The traffic on the highway can be terrible sometimes and it slows everything down. We do not mind the slow pace because that is just life in Bhagalpur. We do not have any fancy marketing materials or a polished image. What you see when you walk into the yard is exactly what we are. We work hard, we get dirty, and we go home to our families at night. We have watched the city grow and get more crowded, but we are still here doing the same work we have always done.
