This is where the Medical Officer for the Bihar Government stays busy at Sadar Hospital in Munger. If you've ever been to a government hospital, you know it's never a quiet place. There are people coming in from all over the district, often early in the morning, waiting for help. Our office handles the administrative side of things and oversees the medical care being provided here. Munger is an old city, and the hospital has been around for a long time too. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the paperwork never seems to end. We have stacks of registers and files that keep track of everything from births to medicine supplies. It’s a lot of responsibility, and some days it feels like we are just trying to keep our heads above water. We don't have fancy equipment in the office, just the basics like a desk, some wooden chairs, and a fan that squeaks when it’s on the high setting. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do for the community here in Bihar. It can get very hot in the summer, but we keep going.
