We are over here at Court Road, just a short walk from the Head Post Office. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of all the people heading to the courts or finishing up their mail. Verma Moters has been in this spot for a while now. Most days start with us rolling up the metal shutters and sweeping out the dust that settles overnight. You can hear the traffic starting up early. There’s always a bit of grease on the floor and tools scattered on the benches, but that’s just how it is when you’re working on engines and parts all day. The tea stall nearby does a good business because we're always sending someone over for a round of cups. People stop by when their vehicles start making a funny noise or when they just need something tightened up. It gets pretty loud with the horns outside and the sound of wrenches hitting the floor. Sometimes it’s a bit messy, and the office isn’t much to look at, just a desk and some old chairs for people to sit while they wait. We spend most of our time out where the machines are. It’s not fancy, but it works for us. Living and working near the Head Post Office means we see everyone coming and going. By the time evening rolls around, we’re usually pretty tired, but there is always one last job to finish before we can go home.
