Shriram Piston & Rings Ltd Jalandhar

Our office is actually up in the hills in Village Guglahar, even though our name mentions Jalandhar. We are in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, specifically near the Mumta post office. Shriram Piston & Rings Ltd has been a part of this village for quite some time. It’s a very different environment compared to the big city factories. The air is fresh and you can see the mountains on a clear day, which is nice. Our building is a simple one, mostly used for storage and handling the distribution of parts. We have a few rooms where we keep the inventory and a small space with a desk for the paperwork. Most of the people who work here live just a short walk away. We don't have any fancy technology or automated systems; we mostly rely on our hands and a few simple tools. The pace of life is a lot slower here. We wait for the trucks to come up the winding roads and then we spend the day unloading them. Sometimes when it rains heavily or snows in the winter, things slow down even more. We don't mind it, though. We are used to the mountain life. We just do our work, chat with the neighbors, and make sure everything is in its right place. It’s a very straightforward and honest way to spend the day.
