Our office is tucked into the Lady Ratan Tata Building over in Bandra West. It’s part of the Tata Blocks on G.N. Road, which is a pretty well-known area around here. Being in Bandra (W) means there is always something going on outside, especially with the traffic on G.N. Road being what it is. The building itself has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the thick walls and the old-style windows. Inside 1/1, we’ve set up a workspace that fits what we do. It’s not a massive operation, just a group of us handling international business matters. We deal with a lot of different time zones, so someone is usually here early or staying late to catch a call from overseas. The desks are a bit cluttered with documents and coffee mugs, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical setup. We don’t go in for much decoration or fancy furniture. We just need a place that works and keeps us connected. People stop by occasionally, mostly just neighbors or delivery guys. We like the location because it’s central, even if finding a parking spot nearby is almost impossible most days. We’ve grown accustomed to the rhythm of the neighborhood, the sounds of the street, and the way the building feels during the monsoon season. It’s just where we do our business every day and we are quite content with the arrangement.
