Finding us at 25/L Parmanand Wadi can be a bit tricky if you aren't used to the Kalbadevi area. Mumbai is always crowded, and this part of the city is especially packed with shops and people moving boxes around. Our office is right there in the middle of it all on Baba Saheb Jaikar Marg. It’s an old building, nothing like the new towers they are building elsewhere. Inside, it’s just a workspace with some desks and a lot of files. We deal with international things, but you wouldn't know it from looking at the office. It’s a very hands-on environment. There’s always noise coming in from the street, and it’s rarely quiet. We’ve been here for a long time now. We know the neighbors and the local tea sellers. We don't use any fancy systems or have a front desk person. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. It’s a bit messy sometimes, especially when shipments are coming in or going out, but we like the energy of the market. We just focus on our daily business and try to keep things moving. It’s a busy life in Mumbai, and we are just a small part of it. The traffic nearby is something you just learn to live with after a few months of working down here. Even the monsoon doesn't stop the work, though the streets get flooded with water. We just keep things simple and keep our heads down.
